This year camp week will be the same as last year, we will not have service on Friday evening, and churches and campers will depart the grounds after the Morning Service on Friday.** **Any damages to ACH/BPYC facilities incurred due to behavior issues will be billed to the participating offending church.** **It is imperative that you, as the leader, review, read, and become very familiar with all of the information for this year's camp. It is suggested you have regularly scheduled meetings with your youth group and youth workers to present and discuss all BPYC activities and policies. Please note several items and policies have changed. Pre-Registration ends Friday, May 31, 2025. DUE TO SPACE CONSTRAINTS, ALL CHURCHES AND PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED TO PRE-REGISTER. If your church is interested in attending BPYC for the first time, please contact us at (859)-379-9613.** **In order to qualify as a camper, the student must be at least age 11 by the first day of camp and must not turn age 19 before the end of camp. Due to safety and liability concerns, absolutely no one under the age of 11 is allowed to attend.** **If you are a counselor, you must be at least age 21. If you are not, and there are no other participants of age from your church, special permission must be given by the Camp Director for you to attend BPYC as a counselor. Volunteers must also receive special permission to attend from the Camp Director if under the age of 21. Please contact us (859)-379-9613 if you have any questions regarding participant ages.** **All Churches should make sure all campers are healthy before traveling to BPYC 2025.  Anyone showing symptoms of COVID will have to return to their home. BPYC does not provide health insurance. If a child becomes ill, the legal guardian(s) of the said camper will be responsible for any and all medical charges. Hospitals will be instructed to bill the insurance of the camp participant (if information is provided), of the injured/ill child. Likewise, adult participants will also be responsible for all medical charges incurred as a result of an injury or illness. BPYC will have medical staff on duty at all times during camp, which will be able to provide basic care for minor illnesses and injuries. The medical staff will also maintain all medical prescriptions for all camp participants. All medicines (prescribed and over-the-counter) must be submitted to the Camp Nurse during Registration. It is the responsibility of the participant to take all medicines as prescribed. Please note any dietary or activity restrictions on the participant's Medical Registration Form.** **There is a non-refundable church deposit fee of $100.00 for each church registering campers. Please make all checks, preferably issued by your church, payable to Barbourville Pentecostal Youth Camp.** **The total fee for camper participation is $155.00. The pre-registration fee of $95.00 must be submitted with camper registration by May 31, 2025. This $95.00 is non-refundable; however, it is transferable to another camper if the original camper is unable to attend. The remaining $60.00 is due upon registration/BPYC check-in. Pre-Registration ends on Friday May 31, 2025. Pre-Registration packets must be postmarked by 5/23/2025 to receive the discounted rates. The camper registration fee will increase to $180.00 on June 1, 2025.** **There is a $40.00 registration fee for Volunteers to cover the cost of food and various expenses. This non-refundable, non-transferable fee must be submitted with the completed adult registration form.** **There is not a registration fee for counselors or staff. The camper to counselor ratio is 10:1 (ten campers per one counselor).** **A registering church who plans to send campers, but is unable to provide counselors, must attempt to make prior arrangements with another participating church having counselors, and partner with them. If a church who has partnered with another church wants to maintain their own church number and identity during camp participation, they may do so; however, the campers are under the supervision and the authority of the partnering church's counselors. If your church does not have a male or female counselor, please contact us at (859)-379-9613 , as these arrangements must be made prior to BPYC Registration.** **Any additions to your church’s pre-registration participant count must be approved by the camp director prior to coming to BPYC. All additional registrants will be placed on a waiting list, due to space constraints, and is not guaranteed participation in BPYC. Should space be available to house additional participants, there is a possibility they may not be placed with their church in the dorms/barracks.** **Campers ARE allowed to bring their cell phones to BPYC; however, cell phone usage will not be permitted in the barracks, bathrooms, or the Tabernacle and cannot be used after lights out or before wake-up call in the morning. As always, should an emergency arise, the telephone number for the Youth Camp office is (606) 546-8712. You can also contact us at (859)-379-9613 anytime during camp. The BPYC Staff reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. Counselors also reserve the right to limit cell phone usage beyond this policy.** **In order for your church to be released to leave BPYC and the Appalachian Children’s Home grounds, you must receive approval from the BPYC office, Boy’s Dean and Girl’s Dean. A Church Sign-out Form will be available from the BPYC office on Friday morning. Please bring this form (with all applicable signatures) to the BPYC office prior to leaving grounds. . Additional details concerning church sign-outs will be provided toward the latter part of camp.**  Want to serve at BPYC? Below you will find a list of information pertaining to individuals who are attending BPYC as an approved counselor for your Church. Whether it's your 1st time as a counselor or 15th, please take time to review the information below. It is your responsibility to know what is required of you. Below is a list of requirements that you will be expected to follow for attending BPYC as a volunteer. It is your responsibility to become familiar with these. Prospective counselors under 21 must be approved by James Carrier.** - **All Counselors shall be submissive to the leadership of their local church and the BPYC Board and Committees.** - **No Counselor shall be undergoing church discipline at the participating church, nor any church where which they were previously a member.** - **No Counselor shall involve him or herself with any pranks involving any camper at BPYC.** - **Prolonged nudity is unacceptable. Counselors shall be clothed immediately following showering.** - **All Counselors shall undergo a background check; The background check will be conducted using the KY system. Counselors should receive a notification after the background check has been completed.** - **Any suspicious activity or interaction between a Counselor and a camper shall be reported immediately to the Security Director. All reports will be investigated and are subject to reporting to Social Services.** - **No Counselor shall lay in a bunk with another individual.**  - **You are responsible for the safety and welfare of all campers in your assigned group throughout BPYC. You must see that all campers abide by the camp policies and schedules. You must also ensure that all campers maintain good habits such as eating, personal hygiene, proper dress, acceptable talk, good behavior, etc.** - **You must know the whereabouts of your campers at all times. It is recommended that you set times to meet with your group throughout the day.** - **You must reside in the barracks with your assigned group.** - **You must see that the barracks are properly cleaned each day. Also, be sure the group completes grounds clean-up duty when assigned.** - **You must be familiar with all camp policies and procedures.** - **You must become acquainted with each camper in your group.** - **You must refrain from rough-housing, pranks, and petty arguments with campers.** - **You must encourage the spiritual growth of each camper within your group. You must conduct daily devotions with your group and make every effort to ensure all campers cultivate a relationship with Jesus Christ.** - **You are encouraged to work the altars during the worship services. Campers should be informed that they are expected to remain in the service and maintain a reverent attitude of worship until dismissed. Please note: If the camper should need to leave the service for any reason, they must be accompanied by a counselor. Counselors are expected to remain in the service as an example to campers, unless excused by the camp nurse or the executive director.** - **You must lead by example in Christian conduct and dress. The BPYC dress code must be followed by counselors.** - **You must wear the camp issued lanyard for security purposes.** - **From the time a camper registers with you, they are your responsibility.** - **You must ensure that your campers remain quiet after “lights out”.** - **You must maintain consistent discipline with fairness at all times. You are encouraged to be friendly and cheerful with campers, yet firm if the occasion should arise when discipline is needed. However, at no time should physical force be used.** - **In the event of minor violations of camp rules, it is the responsibility of the counselor, Camp Directors, and Disciplinary Oversight Committee to handle such violations with love and prayer. Disciplinary actions may include, but is not limited to, work detail such as sweeping floors, picking up trash, cleaning bathrooms, etc. Discipline must never include physical punishment.** - **All major disciplinary action is the responsibility of the Disciplinary Oversight Committee.** - **The BPYC Directors reserve the right to dismiss any adult participant from the grounds due to inappropriate behavior, insubordination to the BPYC and/or ACH Staff, or unwillingness to complete assigned tasks.** - **All Volunteers shall be 19 years of age, be a born-again Christian, and have been a member of participating church for six months.** - **All Volunteers shall be submissive to the leadership of their local church and the BPYC Board and Committees.** - **No Volunteer shall be undergoing church discipline at the participating church, nor any church where which they were previously a member.** - **Volunteer positions are assigned by the Volunteer Directors. We try to honor requests, but the Volunteer Directors will make final volunteer assignments.** - **You must lead by example in Christian conduct and dress.  The BPYC dress code must be followed by volunteers.** - **You must wear the camp issued lanyard for security purposes.** - **No Volunteer shall involve him or herself with any pranks involving any camper at BPYC.** - **Prolonged nudity is unacceptable. Volunteers shall be clothed immediately following showering.** - **All Volunteers shall undergo a background check. The background check will be conducted using the KY system.  Volunteers should receive a notification after the background check has been completed.** - **Any suspicious activity or interaction between a Counselor and a camper shall be reported immediately to the Security Director. All reports will be investigated and are subject to reporting to Social Services.** - **No Volunteer shall lay in a bunk with another individual.** - **All Volunteers are required to attend a daily meeting held by the Volunteer Coordinator.** - **Volunteers are expected to remain in the services, unless assigned a volunteer duty or excused by the camp nurse or executive director.** - **You will be assigned your daily task(s) at this meeting.** - Read the requirements listed below to see if you qualify as a candidate! ***All candidates must submit an application through the link by Monday, June 16th at 4pm. There can only be one male and one female camper to represent each church.*** ***Each candidate must also have the approval of their Pastor or Youth pastor in order to run.*** **Since the winners of Mr. and Miss Youth Camp will be awarded an educational scholarship, the applicant will complete an application containing the following information...** **Optional: Feel free to attach character letters or letters of recommendation from ministry leaders, fellow church members, employers, educators, etc.** **•The candidate is allowed to campaign; however, no posters/signs are to be posted on the front of or in the lobby of the Tabernacle.** **•The candidate may make their posters prior to camp. If a candidate should choose to make the posters at camp, they must provide their own supplies. (i.e. poster board, tape, markers, etc.)** **•Campaigning will begin on Tuesday morning, following the introduction of all candidates.** **•Any candidate launching a degrading or distasteful campaign will be disqualified.** **•The candidate will be required to serve at least one meal throughout the campaign.** **•The BPYC Directors will conduct an individual interview with the candidate on Thursday morning.** **•All posters/signs are to be removed by 12:00 noon on Thursday.** **•The BPYC Directors reserve the right to remove or disqualify a candidate due to improper conduct.** **Candidates will be scored by the following measures:** **In each area, the percentages will be added, and then the highest percentage of votes will win.** **John Doe has now received a 10%, 50%, and a 25% score. Visiting ministers will be permitted to sit in the front designated area of the Tabernacle as space permits. Handicapped visitors will be seated in a designated area in the rear of the Tabernacle.*** ### [Barbourville Pentecostal Youth Camp](https://www.bpycky.com) **Please read all of the information listed below for attending as a visitor.** This information is **very** important to read and understand. **Visitors must pre-register through the Jotform link listed below. If your church is planning on bringing a group, each person who plans to attend will need to submit. registration. Please see below for more instructions and information.**   **When registering for a group, you must submit a registration for each individual who is planning to attend. If you are planning to attend multiple nights, you will need to submit a registration for each night.** **For example, if Green River has a group coming Wednesday… each person would submit individual registrations for coming. If they have a group wanting to come Wednesday night and then Thursday night, a different registration would need to be submitted for each night.**  **The list will be kept at the gate and verified as they enter the grounds.**  **Groups need to register as close to exact amount of individuals who plan to attend, as space is limited. Please do not over-register for more than you think you will actually have attend.
